Rev. Paul James
Paul is married to Miriam and they have been blessed with three wonderful children, Ben, Rachel and Joanna. They have four grandchildren with their fifth expected in 2016.
Paul responded to the call of God to ministry as a young boy having grown up in the home of parents Rev Dr Norman and Ada James, a family renowned for their commitment to the work of God and experience at the coal face of ministry life. This spiritual heritage helped to form in him a depth of the Word and Spirit, apostolic gifting and unique grace through impartation of the Holy Spirit. After 28 years of preparation and experience in the world of business Paul trained at Elim Bible College where he was determined to seek the anointing rather than just the pursuit of academic ability alone.
Over the last 25 years Paul and Miriam have served together in various locations. These include Malton in North Yorkshire, Plymouth and Yate near Bristol where they developed the flagship fellowship known as GateWay Revival Church before being appointed to HICC.
Pastor Paul is ordained with the Elim Pentecostal Church and has travelled extensively throughout the UK. He has served as a regional and national evangelist. He has seen remarkable transformation of lives ministering in Ireland, the States, Ghana and South Africa. A hallmark of Paul’s ministry is the ability to deliver life application of the Word with prophetic insight, accuracy and sensitivity.
Through all these years of service Paul has had a close ministry relationship and friendship with Pastor Michael Carr, the founding Pastor of HICC and has often ministered into the life of the fellowship. Paul was invited to be the second Senior Minister in the history of this dynamic multi-national Church in May 2015 and carries a passion and vision for the work to develop and grow in this next God- ordained season.
Paul and Miriam are here to serve you and encourage the family at HICC to reach their full potential. ‘Come with us and we will do you good’
